For automation interface information about the Image property (Image Available and Windows Meta File in the automation interface), see the automation interface topic for Symbol Style in the Related Topics.
This property specifies the Image for an item.
The image must be a Windows Metafile that is not larger than 200 KB (WMF or EMF extension). If you select a file that uses an earlier Windows Metafile format, Modeler converts a copy of the file to enhanced Windows Metafile format - this conversion results in a larger file.
We recommend that you select WMF files that use only vector graphics. If you paste a raster graphic to another application as a WMF file, the image may be missing. Note that there is not a problem when pasting a raster graphic to another application as an EMF+ file, which is now typically the default in Microsoft applications.
By default, an Image is not set.
This property is set through the Style Modification dialog, which you open through the Edit button on the following tabs or dialogs:
• Style tab of a Symbol Style item's Property Pages.
• Style tab of an item's or diagram's Property Pages.
• Style entry of a symbol's View Options dialog.
On the Style Modification dialog, click the appropriate Select button, and then select the required image. To unset this property, click Delete Image.
When style settings are applied to a diagram symbol, this property specifies the alternative image used for the symbol.
You can apply style settings to a symbol through the symbol, through the symbol's item, through an applied Stereotype or through a Symbol Style item.
The image is stored in the Model and does not have to be available after selection.
