Decision set (dictionary item)

A Decision Set is a set of choices made for the inclusion or exclusion of Variants for Variation Points.
Create a Decision Set through a Modeler explorer pane: right-click a Package, point to New, point to Variability, and then click Decision Set.
After creating a Decision Set you can use the Decision Set Editor or Variant Selector to specify which Variants are included and excluded in that Decision Set:
To open the Decision Set Editor for a Decision Set: right-click the Decision Set, and then click Edit.

To open the Variant Selector for a Decision Set: on the Tools menu, click Variant Selector.

After setting up a Decision Set you can create a Product Model using that Decision Set. For information about creating a Product Model from a Product Line Model using a Decision Set, see Overview of creating product models.
In the Modeler panes, a short-cut symbol on the Variant's icon indicates that the item is a stub.

Dependency —The Dependency is owned jointly by the Decision Set and the other associated item. The access permissions you have to a Dependency are determined by the access permissions of the dependent item.
