Service description (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Service Description:
From the model or a UML Package: right-click the Package, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Service, and then click Service Description.
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Service, and then click Service Description.
From an SOV-1 Service Taxonomy, SOV-2 Service Interface Specification, SOV-3 Capability to Service Definition or SOV-5 Service Functionality: click the Service Description toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram.
Appearance
When shown on an SOV-1 Service Taxonomy, SOV-2 Service Interface Specification, SOV-3 Capability to Service Definition, SOV-5 Service Functionality, a Service Description appears as follows:
