Asynchronous message (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Asynchronous Message:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Service, and then click Asynchronous Message.
From an SOV-2 Service Interface Specification: click the Asynchronous Message toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram.

When shown on an SOV-2 Service Interface Specification, an Asynchronous Message appears as follows:
Relationships
There are no relationships that are of significant importance to an Asynchronous Message.
