Organization (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Organization:
• From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Operational, and then click Organization.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Organization Type that is the classifier for the Organization.
• From a PV-3 Actual Project Definition or OV-4 Actual Organizational Relationships Chart:
◦ Click the Organization toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Organization Type that is the classifier of the Organization.
◦ From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Organization Type element that you want to use as the classifier of the Organization, and then drag that Organization Type to free space on the diagram.

When shown on a PV-3 Actual Project Definition or OV-4 Actual Organizational Relationships Chart, an Organization appears as follows:
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to an Organization:
• Project Ownership relationships link an Organization to Project elements that have project responsibility for that Organization.

Create from an Organization
Only the UPDM elements that can be created from all UPDM elements ( Representation, Definition, Information, and Metadata).
