Project (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Project:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Project, and then click Project.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Type that is the classifier for the Project.
From a PV-3 Actual Project Definition:
Click the Project toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Type element that is the classifier of the Project.
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Project Type element that you want to use as the classifier of the Project, and then drag that Project Type to free space on the diagram.

When shown on a PV-3 Actual Project Definition, a Project appears as follows:
When shown on a PV-2 Project Timelines, a Project appears as follows:
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Project:
Project Ownership relationships link a Project to Organization and Individual Person Role elements that are the responsible resources of that Project. This relationship can be shown on a PV-1 Project Portfolio Relationships.
Project Sequence relationships link a Project to other Project elements that are predecessors and successors of that Project.
Activity Part Of Project relationships link a Project to Activity (Project) elements that are the Project element's activities.
