Stereotype order (property)
For automation interface purposes, the Stereotype Order property is not an attribute of an item; however, you can use the ReorderItem function to change the order of an item's Stereotypes. The Stereotype order property determines the order in which its Stereotypes are stored, and therefore the order they are returned through the automation interface.
This property specifies the order in which an item's Stereotypes are ordered. The Stereotype Order determines in which order an item's Stereotypes are listed on the Items tab of the item's Property Pages.
The Stereotype Order property determines the order in which Stereotypes are displayed on diagrams. When using iconic Stereotypes, the Stereotype Order can determine which Stereotype's icon is used.
By default, a newly applied Stereotype appears last in the Stereotype Order.
This property is set on the Items tab of an item's Property Pages. To change the Stereotype Order, in the Show Associated list, select Stereotypes. In the list, select a Stereotype you want to move, and then click the required order button to change the Stereotype's position. There are four order buttons:
Note The Stereotype Order does not affect the order in which items are displayed in the Packages pane.
The following section provides information about the items and diagrams for which Stereotype Order is a property. For more information about an item or diagram, click it.
