When you upgrade ServiceMax, the above profiles are overwritten completely by the upgrade process and restored to factory defaults, if you select the option Load default profiles. As a result, any changes you have made to these profiles will be completely lost. To avoid any such loss, it is strongly recommended that you clone these profiles into your own custom profiles.

Packaged Permission Sets are intentionally broad. Assigning them will grant access to all ServiceMax features — regardless of the user’s business role or persona.
• Do not assign them to every end user.
• Use them carefully, typically for administrators, super-users, or testing purposes.
• For technicians, dispatchers, or managers, build custom Permission Sets or Permission Set Groups that provide only the access required for their job.
