Access and Permissions
This section provides the details about the minimum level of access required for each object in order to configure and use Installed Base App.
Field level permissions for these objects control which of them can be downloaded and edited using the Installed Base App. However, if you want to limit a technician's access to only a certain set of fields in the Installed Base App (and not restrict his access on other mobile apps / online web app), use configuration settings to do so. Refer to the Configuration Settings section for details.

• * ProductIQ Profile is used to store Installed Base App setup information and will be used by system admins only.
• ServiceMax Processes and Config data objects are used to store SFM Mappings, SFM Data Validation Rules, and SFM Searches.
• # The mobile user's profile must have read permission for ProductIQ Profile and Page Layout objects.
• ~ User Preferences object is used to save the configured columns information for the Installed Base tree view specific to the user. This object is only for Web usage, and not for the app.
