What's Enhanced
Notification read and unread status updates
Feature Overview
Notification management in the Go app is enhanced with bulk read functionality and support for manual unread status updates. A Mark All as Read option is available when unread notifications exist, allowing all unread notifications to be cleared in one action. The option is automatically hidden when no unread notifications remain.
Individual notifications can be marked as unread by swiping a read notification. The notification list updates immediately when status changes occur. Read and unread status changes sync with the existing notification service, apply locally when offline, and sync automatically when connectivity is restored.
User Impact
Technicians and dispatchers can now clear all unread notifications at once using
Mark All as Read and mark specific notifications as unread for follow-up. Notification status updates immediately and remains consistent across devices after sync. For more information, see
Managing Notifications.
Improved handling of configuration sync update notifications
Feature Overview
Configuration Sync update notifications are hidden when a configuration sync or reset is completed after the notification is generated. When the user opens the Notifications screen, Configuration Sync update notifications that are no longer applicable for that device are not shown.
User Impact
After a configuration sync completes, users no longer see the corresponding Configuration Sync update notification in their Notifications screen. The notification tray reflects only current and pending notifications. For more information, see
Managing Notifications.
Online search on child sections in View SFM
Feature Overview
Online search in child sections now retrieves live results as you type, instead of searching only within previously loaded data. Search results are fetched live from the backend, not limited to the initial set of loaded records. Search behavior matches Online Explore and Lookup search for a consistent experience. Online search looks across the key fields available in the child section. If no supported fields are configured, search is performed using the record name or auto-number.
User Impact
Each time you update the search text, the system runs a new online search and shows the most current matching records. Each change to the search text runs a new search, allowing you to refine results as you type. This update ensures that you can find related records using the latest data, even when the record was not part of the initial results. For more information, see
Configuring Online Search for Child Lines.
Support of lookup datatype in technical attributes
Feature Overview
The ServiceMax Go App now supports technical attributes with lookup datatypes. This enhancement allows lookup-based values to be captured directly in the Go App, using predefined options configured in the system.
User Impact
Technicians can capture technical attributes of lookup datatype, by selecting appropriate values. This simplifies data capture in the field and helps ensure that attribute values are captured consistently and accurately. For example, Software Version is a Technical Attribute of lookup datatype that contains pre-defined list of software versions for the relevant Installed Product. Remote engineer or Technicians can capture this attribute, by selecting appropriate versions. For more information, see
Updating Technical Attributes from a Task.
Guided Add Part experience for Parts Consumption
Feature Overview
Parts Consumption now provides a streamlined Add Part experience that lets technicians add and consume parts directly from tasks while following configured planner rules. Filtering can be done through expressions configured and can be filtered out to show parts belonging to a particular product structure. For serialized parts, the existing swap process (Part-In and Part-Out) is enhanced to automatically flag removed parts for return order creation, according to configuration and repairability.
User Impact
Technicians can now add parts that were not already recommended in the work plan, enabling them to complete maintenance activities on equipment without interruption. When replacing serialized parts, the app can automatically create return orders for removed (replaced) items. This eliminates the need for technicians to manually create return orders after completing their work and ensures compliance with return policies. For more information, see
Parts Consumption: Adding Parts Overview.
Default landing tab and record count on related section tabs in SFM
Feature Overview
ServiceMax Go now allows users to set a default landing tab for each flow. Records opened in View or Edit mode load on the selected tab instead of Overview. The selection is saved per user and persisted for the SFM. In View SFMs, tabs for related sections display a record count next to the tab name. The count reflects the number of records in the corresponding child section that are downloaded to the app. The number reflects only the downloaded records on that tab and updates automatically when those downloaded child records change.
User Impact
Technicians can open records directly on the tab they use most, and the app remembers the selection for each flow. If a tab is hidden or unavailable, the record opens on
Overview tab. These updates apply to View SFMs and all Edit SFMs, including linked and standalone flows. For more information, see
SFM Record Counts and Default Landing Tabs.
Custom message for configuration sync notifications
Feature Overview
The configuration sync notification now supports custom titles and messages. When sending a configuration sync update notification, administrators can enter a custom title and message. If either field is left blank, the default notification text is used.
User Impact
Technicians see the administrator’s notification text in both the device notification center and the in-app notifications list. Reminder notifications reuse the same text and add Reminder: at the start of the title. For more information, see
Managing App Configuration.
Improved work plan title and description handling
Feature Overview
Work Plan assignments now support dedicated Title and Description fields. The app reads the Title and Description directly from the Work Plan assignment record first. If these fields are empty, the application populates it from the linked Work Plan Library.
User Impact
Technicians can see a meaningful title for every Work Plan assignment in the Task List and the multi-accept and multi-complete Tasks screen. This allows technicians to clearly identify and act on their assignments. For more information, see
Viewing the List of Tasks for an Appointment.
Improved timesheet accuracy and validation in ServiceMax Go
Feature Overview
ServiceMax Go now calculates timesheet time more accurately. It includes time entries that users create or edit manually and keeps existing time entries in sync when their source records change. The Timesheet engine recalculates totals and daily summaries during refresh or sync. Only valid time entries are shown on the timesheet calendar.
User Impact
Technicians see timesheet totals and summaries that reflect the latest calculations. Manually created or edited time entries are included automatically, without extra steps. When source records change, existing time entries update to reflect the latest dates and durations. This reduces mismatches during review and helps technicians, supervisors, and managers complete timesheet reviews more efficiently. For more information, see
Create and Edit Timesheet.
Enhanced issue reporting with service product support and configurable fields
Feature Overview
Issue Reporting now supports the Service Product data model on Work Orders and aligns configuration, additional fields, and navigation behavior between the ServiceMax web application and Go. The enhancement ensures consistent configuration, supports up to 5 additional field types, and enables offline search capabilities.
User Impact
Technicians can now report issues directly at the Service Product level using the > > hierarchy. Installed Products appear in alphabetical order, and fields display in the sequence defined by administrators. After submitting an Issue Report, the back button returns technicians directly to the related Work Order. Offline contains search on the Name field returns filtered results alphabetically. No additional action is required after configuration sync. For more information, see
Submitting Report from Work Order.
iOS: Background data download from push notifications
Feature Overview
On iOS devices, the Go App makes a best attempt to automatically initiates background download of record data associated with push notifications. This applies to records that already exist on the device and to records that are not yet available locally, subject to iOS background execution behavior.
User Impact
Records opened from push notifications require less waiting time for data to load. Technicians can access record details more quickly after tapping a notification, reducing delays caused by on‑demand downloads. For more information, see
Push Notifications.

Updated Action Sheets, Dialogs, and Alerts aligned with native iOS UI
|
From this release onwards, devices running iOS 26 will experience changes to certain user actions. These updates are a result of extending Go's support to iOS 26, which aligns the app with updated iOS system standards.
The following user actions are updated:
• Action Sheets – Now appear centered on the screen instead of at the bottom
• PDF Controls – The Close and Actions buttons are now accessed via a hamburger menu
• Alerts and Dialogs – Now display rounded corners and pill-shaped action buttons
These are not Go specific customizations – they reflect standard iOS 26 UI behavior. There is no data loss or functional impact, these changes are related to visual and user action improvements.
