Push Notifications
Android and iOS
Technicians can receive push notifications for changes made to the Work Order (WO) object, and custom objects on their iOS/Android devices. The notification is triggered for all the standard, managed, and custom objects in the org when any one of the following conditions are met:
• when a WO record is created
• when a WO record is updated
• when a WO record is either created or updated
• when a WO record field is updated
• when a Salesforce/ServiceMax event record is created or updated
The notification UI on the ServiceMax Go for iOS/Android app varies based on the Push Notification configuration. The following screenshot displays a sample push notification.
Key Points
• The Notification settings on the device are respected. For example, Suggest actions and replies, App icon Badges, Do not disturb, etc., are respected.
• Notifications are delivered even when the app is in the background or foreground or when the device is locked.
• Notifications are grouped by the ServiceMax Go app on the device notifications panel.
