SFM Record Counts and Default Landing Tabs
These capabilities improve how you interact with SFM screens in the Go app. Related section tabs display a numeric record count, and a default landing tab setting lets you choose which tab opens first when you access an SFM.
Each related section tab in an SFM displays a numeric counter representing the total number of records downloaded to the Go App that qualify for that particular section. For sections with more than 99 records, the badge shows 99+. The counter updates dynamically as records are added, edited, or removed within the SFM. This behavior applies to View SFM, Edit SFM, and covers all related sections including Images/Videos and Documents.
The default landing tab setting determines which SFM tab is displayed first when you open the SFM. You can configure this preference per SFM, and the selection persists for the user per SFM across app resets, upgrades, and reinstalls. If the selected tab is unavailable for example, removed by an administrator, the SFM falls back to the Overview tab.
Use Cases
Locating relevant child records on a large work order
A technician at Iniscope International opens a work order for a scheduled maintenance visit covering multiple Soniscape microscopes at a laboratory, and the work order contains several related sections including parts, work details, and service documents. Rather than tapping through every tab to find where records exist, such as which sections have replacement parts logged or calibration certificates attached, the technician reads the record count badge on each tab and navigates directly to the sections that contain data. This reduces navigation time during the service visit and keeps the technician focused on completing the maintenance tasks.
Opening an SFM directly to the most relevant section
An Iniscope International technician regularly services SSI 800 ultrasound machines and works primarily with the Parts section of the SFM to track probe and transducer replacements, but the Parts section is not the default opening tab. By setting Parts as the preferred default landing tab for that SFM, the technician always opens directly to the relevant section without extra navigation. The preference persists across app resets and upgrades, so the technician does not need to reconfigure it after routine app maintenance.
