Lookup Fields

You can establish a relationship between two records using the lookup fields. Lookup fields appear with the magnifying glass search icon when editing a record. The lookup field behavior is similar to the lookup field in the Salesforce Lightning experience. For more information, see

The following features are available for Lookup fields:
Classic Theme
This section describes the various features associated with the lookup fields. The lookup field features are:
• Display of any configured field to indicate the selected record; default is the Name field
• A bubble option to display the configured field values on click, with the Name field being the default
• Auto-resolve text value entered to Salesforce ID of matching record(s)
• Auto-select single matching record
A lookup search can be done by clicking the lookup icon on the lookup field. The following are the lookup search features:
• Keyword search
• Context filter, with override option
• Basic filter on the lookup object attributes is always applied and not shown in the lookup search screen
• Advanced filters on the related objects’ attributes, with default on/off and override option
• Display of recently selected records
