Polymorphic Fields
SFM Lightning Delivery
SFM Delivery supports polymorphic fields configured in SFM Mapping. For more information about the polymorphic fields and how to configure them, see Polymorphic Fields.
You can edit the polymorphic fields to set a value. When incorrect values are set in the polymorphic fields, an appropriate error message is displayed on saving the record. For example, when the Related To field is auto-populated with an Account value on SFM load, but the Related To lookup field is configured to look at Work Order records on the page layout, an appropriate error message is displayed on Save.

• It is recommended to appropriately configure polymorphic fields in SFM Designer to get the desired output at runtime.
• If the WhatId polymorphic field is absent from the layout or is empty, then the WhatId field is associated with its parent object. This is only applicable if the Event or Task object is configured as a child object.
