10. Click Save.
*
When you save a dispatch process, a check is run to ensure that all the mandatory parameters are specified for the dispatch process. You cannot save an incomplete dispatch process.
When you try to save an incomplete Batch Optimized dispatch process, the start date in the Scheduling tab can be either the current day or any future date. The dispatch process cannot be saved with a past date as the start date.
When you save an Optimized Batch dispatch process (only Batch or Batch + Long-Term Planner), a dummy job is created for each territory linked to the dispatch process.
If Batch and LTP is configured in a dispatch process, separate jobs are created for Batch and LTP for the same territory.
If you add more territories to already existing dispatch processes, dummy jobs are created for the newly added territories.
Dummy jobs are created only when you save the dispatch process for the first time, and not for the subsequent updates and saves.
The job status of the dummy jobs is marked as Initiate Error with start time same as the time dispatch process was saved for the first time and the end time will be blank.
For standalone LTP dispatch process, dummy jobs are created with Initiate Error status.
