Defining Long-Term Planner Parameters
The Long-Term Planner tab indicates the long-term planning information Schedule Optimization should use when dispatching work orders. The tab allows you to specify when the dispatch process should run for long-term planning and to specify the scheduling horizon.
In the Long-Term Planner tab:
1. In the Criteria section, enter the work order criteria using Work Order Field, Operator, and Value.
Add or remove conditions using the x and + buttons.
Enter Advanced Expression to define AND or OR conditions. For example, (1 AND 2) OR 3.
2. In the Scheduling section, provide the following information:
Specify the time and day for the dispatch process should run using the time, day of the week, or the date of the month fields. For example, you can set it to run at 1 A.M. every Sunday, or on the 1st of every month.
Specify the time zone, start date, and end date.
3. In the Planning Time Horizon section, specify the time horizon for the job run:
Start after: This read-only field indicates the day from which the job run starts. The default value is 3.
Schedule work orders for: Specify the number of days for which work orders should be scheduled. This defines the horizon.
