Working With Multi-Assign Events
You can create Events for multiple attendees in Service Board or in Salesforce. In the Multi-Resource Assignment Calendar, you can create Multi-Assign Events to which you can invite only Resources that are associated with an active Service Board user. You can also use Salesforce to invite attendees who have the User or Partner User roles. Additionally, you can invite and remove attendees and update Multi-Assign Events on both platforms.
Like Multiple-Resource Appointments, child Multi-Assign Events are read-only, and the associated parent Events are editable. When you update or delete parent Multi-Assign Events, all associated child Events are also updated or deleted. You cannot reassign parent Multi-Assign Events to Resources that do not have linked active Salesforce user accounts, nor to any of their associated attendees. Recurring Multi-Assign Events are not supported.
If you use Salesforce to invite Users or Partner Users to Multi-Assign Events, only the child events to which those attendees are invited can be synched to Service Board. Sync to Service Board for Work Order-related Multi-Assign Events is not supported.
*
Multi-Assign Event functionality is supported only for Salesforce Events, and is not available for ServiceMax Events.
Use Salesforce only to invite User and Partner User attendees to Multi-Assign Events. Do not invite Leads, Contacts, or Resources.
Child Multi-Assign Events are not synced to Service Board when the Enable Multi-Assign Event setting is disabled.
