Custom Actions
ServiceMax admins can configure actions to extend the functionality using custom web services, launching Salesforce pages, external websites, or other locally available apps. The actions can be configured to pass data from one or more fields in the record.
The types of SFM Custom Actions are as follows:
Web service: These custom actions allow you to execute custom Apex web services. These are supported in ServiceMax Go and Field Service Application (all OS). For more information, see Custom Action for Web service.
URL: These custom actions allow you to launch Salesforce pages, external websites, or other locally available apps*. These are supported in all ServiceMax mobile apps. For more information, see Custom Action for a URL.
Email: These custom actions allow you to configure to send Emails with or without attachments to customers from the ServiceMax Go app. This option is supported on the ServiceMax Go app only. For more information, see Custom Action for an Email.
App-to-App: These custom actions allow mobile users to have an action menu item to launch and pass information to the third-party target app. These are supported in Field Service Application (iPad) and ServiceMax Go app. For more information, see Custom Action for App-to-App.
Mobile-Activity-Space: These custom actions allow a web developer to create a package containing HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS to build a unique user experience to support a specific use case. This feature is supported only on the ServiceMax Go app. For more information, see Custom Action for Mobile Activity Space.
UI-Component: These custom actions allow the launching of managed and custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce Flows from Wizard steps and are supported on Web wizards only, except for Issue Report and Feedback, which is supported both on Web and SeviceMax Go app. On the SeviceMax Go app, mobile specific custom component is launched. For more information, see Custom Action for UI-Component.

* Launching of locally available third-party apps is supported only on Field Service App on Windows and Android (and Installed Base App integration on it).
