SFM Designer for Admin
SFM Transaction Designer also known as SFM is the central engine in ServiceMax that helps you define the flow of information across various service delivery processes. SFM allows you to maintain the accuracy and consistency of such information throughout the service delivery cycle. It also helps reduce the time spent in each step.
The Flash-Based SFM Designer is moved to HTML-Based SFM Designer. The following key points should be considered when you switch from Flash Designer to HTML Designer:
Title or Process name is unique: You should rename the second instance of the record when you edit and save the changes from SFM Transactions Designer. If you have any existing configurations(created from Flash-based designer) that have the same Process name but a different ProcessID. This change has no impact on accessing these configurations on delivery.
Title or Process name length: You need to rename any existing configuration records that have titles of less than 8 characters to save any edit made in SFM Transactions Designer. The length of the title must be a minimum of 8 characters.
ProcessID is auto-generated: You cannot edit the value on the ProcessID field as it is hidden in SFM Transaction Designer. This field is auto-generated for new records.
The above points apply to the following configuration screens invoked from HTML Designer:
SFM Transaction
Mappings
Expression
Data Validation Rules
Formula
Page Layout or Layout Editor
Lookup Filter

You must change the value of the global setting SET006 to HTML to start using the new HTML-based Designer. This setting is under Module: SFM Transaction Manager, Submodule: SFM Transaction Designer. When this setting is set to HTML, all the Designer pages are rendered in the new HTML UI.
