Using Map
Dispatch Console displays a JavaScript-based map. The map is displayed in alignment with both the Work Order Grid and Team/Territory Technician Tree & Scheduler. You can resize the map width by dragging the ellipsis handle.
Following are the key features of the map:
You can plot the selected work order and Service Teams/Technicians when a Team/Technician search is performed, with the option to specify the search radius around the work order location.
You can see the daily route of the selected technicians for any given day.
You can plot nearby Work Orders, Accounts, and Locations within the specified search area, for the selected Dispatch Console Views.
You can choose to show technician's home location, current location, or both.
When plotting any record, the latitude and longitude fields are considered if they are not null; else, address fields are considered. However, in the latter case, though the record is plotted on the map, latitude longitude fields in the plotted record will continue to remain blank.

Technician's Home Base information is used for Plotting the maps. You can create any number of Home Base records for a Technician. However, the Home Base record that is marked as Current Home Base will only be considered for plotting the home location of the technician in the map. If there is no Current Home Base record, then the address in the Technician's record will be considered for plotting the home location of the technician map.
There are several icons, controls, configuration settings, and user settings, which determine how the above map functionality is delivered. These are described in the subsequent sections.
You can customize the following map settings:
Define radius using SET005
Customize the icon to display Work Order using SET048
Customize the icon to display Service Team using SET049
Define unit of measure to plot Map using SET055
Show or Hide the Map using SET071
