Resource Recommendations Based on Job’s Service Teams
The Use Job's Service Team for Resource Recommendations feature scopes resource candidates to a job's assigned Service Team and its linked Secondary Service Teams instead of the dispatcher's manual resource list.
The Resource Recommendation automatically scope resource candidates to a job's assigned Service Team and its linked Secondary Service Teams with Use Job's Service Team for Resource Recommendations setting enabled. The system uses the Service Team as the source of qualified candidates instead of the dispatcher's manual resource list. This feature applies only to the Recommend Resource action and does not affect Propose Schedule or Propose Times operations.
Use this feature when your organization meets the following conditions:
• Jobs are consistently assigned to Service Teams — The feature only activates when a job has a Service Team assigned. Without a Service Team, the system automatically falls back to the dispatcher's resource list.
• Service Teams accurately represent resource groupings — Your Service Team structure reflects the teams of qualified resources who should handle jobs in their domain.
• You want to reduce dispatcher manual effort — Instead of selecting a resource list for each job, the system automatically uses the appropriate team.
• You serve regional or specialized teams — For example, if you have geographic teams (APAC, Europe, Americas) or specialized teams (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing), each with their own members, this feature simplifies candidate scoping.
Key Behaviors and Expectations
When the setting Use Job's Service Team for Resource Recommendations is enabled and a job has a Service Team assigned:
• Candidate pool includes: The job's Service Team plus any directly linked Secondary Service Teams.
• Dispatcher resource list is not used: The Service Board ignores the dispatcher's custom resource list entirely.
• All filters still apply: Access controls, resource limits, and existing Resource List filters continue to restrict the final candidate set.
• Indirect Secondary Teams are excluded: Only directly linked Secondary Service Teams are included; no recursive expansion occurs.
If the job has no Service Team assigned, the Service Board falls back to the dispatcher's resource list, regardless of whether the setting is enabled.
Dispatchers: Benefit from faster, more accurate resource matching without manually adjusting lists per job.
Administrators: Configure the setting through application settings. You can enable it globally, disable it entirely, or apply it conditionally to specific roles or groups (for example, only for APAC dispatchers).
