Application Settings
Use Application Settings to personalize how Service Board appears and refreshes during dispatch work. These settings help you focus on the records, time windows, and visual cues that matter to your team.
The following section summarizes the key tabs in Application Settings and explains what each tab controls for dispatcher personalization and daily scheduling work.
Calendar: Use this tab to control how the calendar appears and refreshes. You can choose which days are visible, set the time range shown each day, and set refresh intervals for jobs, appointments, and events. You can also show or hide resource utilization indicators in the resource list.

Colors: Use this tab to manage color-coding for calendar and scheduling items, including appointments, events, jobs, and shift segments. You can add field-based color rules so records with specific values display distinct colors in cards, blocks, pins, and tooltips.

An administrator must enable color personalization before these settings are available.

Service Board Classic or Service Board Modern: Use this tab to manage Classic and Modern UI selection . When UI personalization is enabled, dispatchers can use the toggle to switch interfaces, and Service Board reloads in the selected mode. When personalization is disabled, the switch does not appear and administrators control the interface.

The Classic user interface retires on November 8, 2026. All features are available in the Service Board Modern interface. We recommend switching to Service Board Modern at your earliest convenience to access the latest features.

Service Board ships with predefined color and day and time display settings for the Calendar. Color settings are nonconfigurable by default, and if your Service Board administrator enables color personalization, you can override default color settings to meet your unique needs.
On the Application Settings page, on the Colors tab, you can configure colors for the following Calendar items:
Appointments
Events
Jobs
Shift Segments
By default, all days of the week and hours of the day appear on the Calendar, and these predefined system application settings can be overridden by your Service Board administrator. Your administrator can also configure time intervals at which Job, Appointment, and Event information is auto-refreshed, which you can customize per your needs.
On the Application Settings page, you can define personalized settings for the days and time intervals you want to view on the Calendar tab, the intervals at which you want Jobs and Appointments and Events to automatically refresh to show new and updated items, and enable or disable Resource Utilization data and icons to appear on the Resource List.
