Submitting a Request
Requests represent a need for a service technician who completes the service request successfully. It can be allocated, a part, or a component that needs to repair the asset, update the data, or create a custom request for the customer to utilize while their asset is being repaired.
Often the Asset in need of service is not the equipment installed but the location. Service Contracts and SLAs are attached to the location and the location needs service, not the assets at that location.
This allows you to create a request that is either a Location-based request or an Asset-based request based on the requirement.
For example, a request is created for site-based water treatment solutions that consist of many pumps and filters. You can create a Location-based request, that does not require you to specify the asset.
You can create the following types of requests from the Overview screen.
Custom Request - Available when Admin has configured the Custom Request.
