Creating Custom Requests
The Custom Requests tab allows you to define tailored request types that align with specific business needs. This configuration capability supports operational flexibility by allowing you to set request titles, icons, descriptions, and access points. By choosing from multiple presentation styles and leveraging sample templates, you can create consistent, user-friendly request experiences. These customizable settings help organizations address diverse service scenarios while maintaining control over how and where users submit requests within the Engage mobile application.
To create a custom request:
1. Navigate to Engage Setup > Mobile App Settings > Request > Custom Requests.
2. Click New Custom Request. The Request Settings window is displayed.
3. Provide the following details.
Field
Description
Fields marked with * are mandatory.
Request Title*
Enter a descriptive title for the request. This name helps users easily identify the purpose of the request when viewed in the Engage mobile app.
Request Icon*
Select an icon that visually represents the request. This icon is displayed alongside the request name in the Engage mobile app, enhancing visual recognition.
Description
Provide a short summary or explanation about the request. This field gives users additional context on what the request is about.
Accessible via*
Choose one or more entry points where the request can be accessed in the mobile app. The available options are:
Home: Displays the request on the home screen.
Location: Displays the request for a specific location.
Asset: Displays the request for a specific asset.
Presentation style
Define how the request will be presented to the user in the app. The available options are:
Screen By Screen: Displays each question one at a time.
Single Screen: Displays all questions on a single page for quicker input.
4. Click Save. You are navigated to the Custom Request page. The new custom request is listed on the page. By default, the new request is set to Inactive.
Add the questions to activate the custom request. You must edit the custom request to add questions.

You can add up to 15 questions that allows you to capture more detailed information from users when a request submitted.
