Page Layout
A page layout is a reusable, standalone entity associated with a specific set of target objects and shared across
SFM transactions. Page layouts can be used to design the display of fields and related lists of the target objects. They also help determine whether fields are visible, read-only, and mandatory. The following screen displays the page layout:

Screen UI design, which includes definition and positioning of header and child sections, buttons, fields in sections, and UI attributes of fields such as Required and Read Only.
Lookup field configuration, which includes lookup search dialog box characteristics, lookup context, pre-filters and advanced filters, and lookup form-fill.
Events associated with the page, section, button, and field, at various stages such as on load, on change, on exit, on click, before save, and after save.
