Creating a Technical Attributes Template in Lightning Mode
From the Attributes Templates lightning tab, you can create or manage Technical Attribute Templates for a Product, Product Line, Product Family, or Installed Products.
Technical Attribute Templates are applied to relevant installed products based on match criteria defined in Template Match Rules when the Installed Product fields match the Template’s Product Attributes.
In the Template Application Criteria, you can add template match field values. When the field values of an Installed Product match the field values in the configured Template Application Criteria, the template is applied automatically according to the rule details and rule sequence.
When recording attributes, Technicians and other service users see the attributes that best match the Installed Product. The template match rules is applicable for the Core Technical Attributes LWC and in the Task UI that use Technical Attribute Templates. For more information, see Technical Attribute Template Match Rule Execution and Application.

You must select value for at least one field to create a template.
You cannot add a Product, Product Line, or Product Family that is already associated with another template. A notification message is displayed to remove the duplicate association before you proceed to save the template.
For an installed product, the template is assigned at runtime. If templates exist for the Product, Product Line, and Product Family of the Installed Base (IB), the Product template takes priority over the Product Line and Product Family templates, and the Product Line template takes priority over the Product Family template when the Template Match Rules are not configured.
You can associate the same template to more than one Product, Product Line, or Product Family.
6. Click Apply to close the window, or Apply & New to save the changes and open a new window to add a new match value for the same template.
The multiple field values are combined using the AND operator.
7. Click Next.
A new tab appears with the name of the template.
