Configuration Reference for Pricebook Identification
This topic explains the system settings and configuration priority used by the Get Price engine to determine the correct pricebook for Labor, Parts, and Expense pricing. The engine evaluates configuration sources in a sequence, including special prices on Service Contracts, Contract-level pricebooks, Work Order pricebooks, and Default pricebooks.
Special Price on Service Contract: Checks for explicit pricing defined under the Labor, Parts, or Expenses Pricing rules on the Service Contract.
Service Contract Pricebook: Uses the Service Pricebook or Parts Pricebook defined on the Service Contract's details.
Work Order Pricebook: Uses the custom pricebook lookups configured on the Work Order object via Org-Wide Settings SET022 (Service Pricebook) or SET021 (Parts Pricebook).
Default Pricebook: Uses the Group Setting SET017 (Default Labor Price Book for Work Order Usage Lines) or SET004 (Work Order Usage Price Book) as the final fallback.
Pricebook Source Setting: Org-wide setting SET019 determines the source of Labor pricing.
