Launching a Service Task from the Work Order in 25.2

From a Work Order, you can launch a task that has linked activities with a single click by using the Launch button. The linked activity can be SFM, Output Document, DataGuide Document Template, DataGuide Form, and Technical Attributes Template. This allows you to quickly execute the linked activity and complete required actions.

You cannot launch tasks that are already completed.

1. From the Home page, go to the Work Order.

The list of work orders is displayed.

2. Open a Work Order record.

3. Click the Service Products & Tasks tab.

4. Go to the required task that has a linked activity and click Launch. For example, Recording Technical Attributes task.

The pop-up window for the service task is displayed.

5. Update the required fields and click Save.

For an SFM and Technical Attribute Templates type of a task, you can click one of the following options:

• Save: Saves the task and mark the Status as In Progress

• Save and Complete Task: Saves the changes and mark task as complete.
