About Measuring Entities
In Creo Direct part and assembly modes you can measure the dimensions of one or more geometric entities within a model. You can also measure mass properties such as volume, mass, and center of gravity of an entire model. The dimension types that you can measure are as follows:
All the dimensions relevant for the selection
Distance and maximum distance between two entities
Length of a curve, edge, or a chain of curves or edges
Diameter of a cylindrical or a conical surface
Area of a selected surface, quilt, or an entire model
Angle between two linear entities
Volume of a model or a closed quilt
Transformational matrix between two coordinate systems
Use the Measure tools, the Measure dialog box, or the shortcut menu for the measurement. After measuring, view the results in the measurement panel, the Measure dialog box, or at both the locations.
