To Measure the Angle between Two Entities
1. On the
Home tab click the arrow next to
Measure.
2. Click
Angle. The
Measure: Angle toolbar appears.
3. Click
on the toolbar to expand the
Measure: Angle dialog box.
4. Under Setup select the first linear reference entity: a curve, axis, surface, facet, or an edge.
5. Hold down the CTRL key and select a second linear entity. The angle between the two selected entities is calculated and displayed in the Results area, the measurement panel, or both.
6. To display the result in terms of a different angle, select from the following options:
◦ Main—Main angle
◦ Supplement—Supplement of the main angle (180° minus the main angle)
◦ Conjugate—Conjugate of the main angle (360° minus the main angle)
◦ Second Conjugate—Conjugate of the supplementary angle (360º minus the supplementary angle)
7. To set the range for updating an angle measurement in case the model is redefined, click Range or select an option from the list.
8. To project the angle, click the Projection collector and select a reference plane, surface, axis, edge, curve, or a coordinate system. The projected angle and actual angle are displayed as results.
9. To project the measurement onto a view plane that lies horizontally along your computer screen, click
. The projected angle and the actual angle are shown. Click
again to activate the
Projection collector.
