To Attach Geometry
1. Select a quilt.
2. Click Attach. The Options Toolbar appears.
3. Click to see the Floating Dashboard.
4. In the Attach To area, click the arrow to select an option:
Solid: to attach selected geometry to solid geometry and to view the Material handling area.
Quilt: to attach selected geometry to quilt geometry. If you select this option, select a quilt in the Graphics Window as an attaching reference.
5. Select the geometry in the Graphics Window. A dragger appears, showing the attaching direction.
6. To flip the material direction to the other side of the selected geometry, do as follows:
Click in the Material side area.
Click in the Material side to attach to area. Available if you select Quilt in the Attach to area.
Alternatively, click the draggers in the Graphics Window.
7. To add or remove material, click the arrow in the Material handling panel and select:
Add: To add material to the solid geometry.
Remove: To remove material from the solid geometry.
As Stored: To add or remove material from the geometry based on the stored attachment information.
8. To preview one or more geometric solutions, click or one or more times. Or select a pre calculated value from the adjacent list.
9. To set boundaries for the geometry other than the default, select the Bounding edges collector and select edges. Bounding collector is active only for Add and Remove option.
10. To trim or extend an open quilt geometry but not attach it to the geometry, select the Trim/Extend without attach check box.
11. To recreate the rounds and chamfers that attach the quilt to the model geometry in the same way that it was attached previously, keep the Recreate rounds and chamfers check box selected.
12. Middle click to complete.
