Using AI Plugin for Duplicate Part Search
The AI Plugin for Duplicate Part Search enables administrators and users to identify visually and structurally similar parts within the Windchill system. By leveraging AI-generated 3D shape embeddings, this feature helps reduce part duplication, improve reuse, and streamline product development.
Each page in the Duplicate Part Search interface serves a specific purpose, as outlined below:
• Duplicate Part Search by Administrator: To initiate the duplicate part search process by an administrator based on shape similarity.
• Duplicate Part Search by Non-administrator User: To review the search results for the searches initiated and completed by the administrator.
• Search Results: To review and analyze parts identified as duplicates based on shape similarity.
• Compare Parts in Group: To visually and structurally compare parts that are grouped as potential duplicates.
• Compare Two Parts: To perform a detailed comparison of two parts suspected to be duplicates.
