This guide outlines the complete process for installing, configuring, and using the AI Parts Rationalization plugin with the Windchill on-prem version 12.1.2.22, 13.0.2.10, 13.1.3.0, and Windchill SaaS environment.
Before you can start using the AI Parts Rationalization plugin, ensure that the Windchill System Administrator has completed the Windchill server configuration and initiated the indexing.
The AI Plugin for Parts Rationalization helps you easily identify and manage duplicate parts in your Engineering Bill of Materials (eBOM). Leveraging artificial intelligence, it analyzes part data to detect duplicates or similar parts based on shape similarity with minor variations, enabling you to make informed decisions about reusing parts. This streamlines your workflow, supports better data consistency, and helps you avoid unnecessary part creation. The plugin is designed to work seamlessly with Windchill and offers a user-friendly interface to simplify your part analysis process. You can use the AI Plugin to search for parts available in the Windchill database and reuse them. This reduces carrying costs, accelerates new part introduction, and improves data standardization and decision-making across the product lifecycle.
Use the Plugin Manager in the Site section of Windchill to install and configure the AI Plugin.
