Working With Crews
After you create and activate Crews to handle complex Jobs that require Resources with multiple skill sets, you can create Crew Appointments. When you assign a Job to a Crew, a Crew Appointment is created, along with individual Crew Resource Appointments with the same location, dates, and times for all Crew Resources. Each Crew Resource sees individual Crew Resource Appointments on their calendars, and you can easily manage and monitor Job status through to completion.
In the Crew Manager tab, you can perform the following tasks to manage Crews:
Create and edit Crews.
Activate and deactivate Crews.
Assign Resources to Crews.
Edit or delete Crew Resources.
In the Scheduler tab, you can perform the following tasks to assign and monitor Crews:
Schedule, modify, and cancel Crew Appointments.
Validate Crew Appointments to ensure the Appointments and associated Crews are properly configured created.
View details about currently scheduled Crew Appointments.
When you create Crew Appointments, Scheduled Time fields in related Job records are set to the Start Time field values of the associated Crew Appointments. Scheduled Time field values for Jobs assigned to Crews are updated when new Crew Appointments are created, or Start Time field values in existing Crew Appointments are updated.
