Customizing the Schedule Immediately With AI Action

Service Board AI is a separately licensed Production Beta feature in Service Board 25.1. The feature is disabled by default, and you must purchase a ServiceMax AI license before you can enable this functionality.
Service Board ships with a preconfigured AI Action, Schedule Immediately with AI, which is available on the Job Action Menu on the Scheduler Job List. This option automatically dispatches Jobs, and has a corresponding predefined AI Instruction with the same name, which is designed to ensure that scheduling is accomplished as quickly as possible by assigning Jobs to available and qualified Resources. You can customize this action by modifying its corresponding AI Instruction, or by using one of the two other predefined AI Instructions, Optimized Scheduling for SLA Compliance or Optimize Scheduling for SLA Compliance With Minimized Drive Time.
To customize the Schedule Immediately with AI action:
1. In Max Designer. click Developer Tools () > AI Instructions, and then in the list view, click Schedule Immediately with AI.
2. On the record page, in the Predefined Instructions Summary field, review the description of the predefined instructions and the examples that show how to customize the response of this AI Action.
3. In the Custom Instructions field, enter custom instructions as your needs dictate, and then in the top left corner, click Save and Close ().
4. To use one of the other predefined AI Instructions with this AI Action, click Developer Tools () > Controls, and then in the list view, click Schedule Immediately with AI.
5. On the record page, on the Behavior tab, in the AI Instruction field, select one of the following, and then in the top left corner, click Save and Close ().
Optimized Scheduling for SLA Compliance: Select this AI Instruction to ensure that Jobs are assigned strictly within their SLA-defined time windows so that all contractually required service levels are upheld.
Optimize Scheduling for SLA Compliance With Minimized Drive Time: Select this AI Instruction to ensure that Jobs are assigned strictly within their SLA-defined time windows with minimized travel distance and time to reduce costs and increase effciency.

To calculate distances, the geocode of the Job, Resource, or Appointment is used. For travel times, the configured Average Travel Speed value in the relevant Optimization Settings record is used. Real-time data and map provider calls are not used for these calculations, which means that estimated travel times may not be entirely accurate.
