Configuring Aborted Appointment Deletion
You can configure Service Board to automatically delete Appointments that are canceled or rejected by users. This feature is disabled by default. When enabled, Appointments are deleted automatically after their status changes to Canceled or Rejected in cases where:
Technicians reject Appointments in ServiceMax Go.
Dispatchers cancel Appointments in Service Board.
Dispatchers cancel Jobs in Service Board, which causes all open Appointments related to the Job to be canceled.
Dispatchers reassign Jobs to different Resources, which causes previous Appointments for old Resources to be canceled and new Appointments for new Resources to be created.
Appointment deletion is synchronized to Salesforce, which causes related Salesforce or ServiceMax Event records to be deleted as well.
To enable automatic aborted Appointment deletion:
1. In Max Designer, on the Administration () launchpad menu, click Settings, and then in the list view, click Delete Aborted Appointments.
2. On the record page, on the Overview tab, select the Default Value check box, and then click Save and Close ().
*
The Delete Aborted Appointments setting also applies to custom Appointment status values whose Aborted flag is set to True.
