Service Flow Manager
Service Flow Manager (SFM) refers to a group of powerful and highly configurable features in ServiceMax. Each of these features is realized using a designer and a delivery engine. Following are the key features in this group:
• SFM Transactions - Comprises the SFM Transaction Designer and the HTML5-based SFM Delivery Engine. It is also referred to as SFM. This helps define various service flows based on business requirements.

• Custom Actions - Using this feature, ServiceMax admins can configure actions from SFM wizard on a record, that can further extend the functionality using either custom web services or launching Salesforce pages, external websites, or other locally available apps. These actions can be configured to pass data from one or more fields in the record.
• Checklists - A checklist comprises a library of questions/list of to-do items, and associated answers/responses. These are widely used in field service during product and site inspections. to manage the library of questions for checklists. You can add, edit, and delete questions using this configuration screen, and you can also search for questions.
• Output Documents: Output Documents are reports built as SFM transactions of type to generate an Output Document for a header record with or without its child records. An Output Document is delivered as an HTML page and it can be converted and saved as a PDF file. It includes ServiceMax and Salesforce data and is designed using the Output Document Designer.
• SFM Wizard - Comprises the SFM Wizard Designer and the SFM Wizard Delivery. This enables the grouping of related service flows as steps in a wizard. The wizard and the steps facilitate the guided execution of service flow based on business context.

• Scheduled SFM - Some businesses have SFM Transactions that need to be executed automatically for qualifying records without any manual intervention. This feature is useful when automatic execution is required for a large volume of records.

• Data Lookup Rules - Comprises the Data Lookup Rules configuration and the delivery using Data Lookup Rules Engine. This provides a powerful, generic, and configurable mechanism to match fields of any two objects and apply a configurable field map from matched object to the target object.
• SFM Search - Comprises the SFM Search Designer and HTML5-based SFM Search Delivery. This facilitates the definition of multi-object searches in one screen, with options to configure search fields, search result fields, sort order, and prefilters.
