Defining a Lookup Configuration
If a lookup field is not associated with a Lookup configuration, the SFM Delivery considers the following:
The recent lookup configuration set as default is considered for new SFMs that do not have a lookup configuration.
If there is a custom Lookup configuration saved as the default for that lookup object, then the same is used. If not, the standard Lookup configuration saved as the default for that lookup object is used.
If no custom or standard Lookup configuration is available, then the lookup object's Name field is considered for the Display Field, Search Field, and Extended Field.
To configure a lookup field:
1. Click any lookup field and go to the field properties section.
2. Click the Configure link to bring up the Lookup Filters dialog box.
3. Select a lookup filter from the list and clickApply .ORDouble-click a lookup filter to edit the lookup filter configuration.OR Click New LOOKUPFILTER to create a new lookup filter configuration.
4. Enter the details to create or edit the fields as described in the following table. Note: All the sections of the Lookup configuration are optional.
Fields
Description
Title
Enter a title for the lookup configuration.
Description
Enter a description for the lookup configuration.
Field To Return
Select a field that is displayed in the lookup search results. By default, the object name is the default selection.
Make this lookup the default for this object (Note: This will replace any existing default)
Select this check box to set the current lookup configuration as the default configuration for this object.
When this check box is enabled, SFM Delivery uses this lookup configuration by default for the lookup fields of this object in all SFM transactions. This applies to lookup fields when there is no association with any lookup configuration.
Number of Records to Return
Select the maximum number of records to be displayed in the lookup search dialog box on performing a search. The default value is 50.
Values: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 500, 750, 1000
Search Fields
Add the field(s) searched when the lookup keyword search is performed in SFM Delivery.
Display Fields
Add the field(s) to the lookup search dialog box in SFM Delivery. You can click theCopy Fields from Search (above) link to copy the same fields as selected in the Search Fields section. By default, the Name field of the object is the default Display Field.
Extended Fields
Add the field(s) to be displayed on clicking the lookup hamburger icon in SFM Delivery. You can click the Copy Fields from Search (above) link to copy the same fields as selected in theSearch Fields section.
5. Configure the Basic Filter. For more information, see Defining a Basic Filter.
6. Configure the Advanced Filter. For more information, see Defining Advanced Filter.
7. Click Save.
