Configure Linked SFM
Study the configuration of OOTB SFM transactions Add/Edit Products Serviced and Manage Work Details for Products Serviced, to know how to configure Linked SFM. Linked SFM transactions have the following requirement with respect to source/target objects:
Secondary SFM transaction’s Header object = Primary SFM transaction’s Child object
Step-by-step instructions for configuring Linked SFM are given below.
1. Create the secondary SFM transaction that is to be configured as Linked SFM. This SFM transaction must be one of the following types:
◦ as Standalone for the purpose of editing an existing record, where the target header object is the child object from the primary SFM transaction. For example, a clone of the standard SFM transaction Manage Work Details for Products Serviced.
◦ from Source Object to create new header and child records, where the source header object is the child object from the primary SFM transaction.
You can have more than one Linked SFM for a given target child object. Same SFM transaction can be used as the linked SFM for more than one SFM transactions.
2. Create/Edit the primary SFM transaction of type as Standalone for the purpose of editing an existing record (for example, a clone of the standard SFM transaction Add/Edit Products Serviced).
3. Select the Advanced Options tab > Linked Process option.
4. Select the required target child object.
5. Select the required process(es) from the Available SFM Processes list.
6. Click the > icon to move the selected process(es) to Selected SFM Processes list.
7. If required, click the Link Title to change the value from the SFM Transaction Name (default) to any customized name - this is the name displayed for the linked process in SFM Delivery screen for each child record.
8. If there are two or more linked processes, use the Up / Down icons next to the Selected SFM Processes list to configure the sequence in which the linked processes should be listed in SFM Delivery screen.
