Child Object Section
The Related/Child Object Section in a Service Flow Manager (SFM) transaction enables you to display and manage child records directly within a form. These sections are designed for one-to-many relationships, such as a single work order with multiple parts, labor entries, or expense lines.
Administrators configure these sections through the SFM Layout Editor. The number of Related/Child Object Sections displayed in a transaction is determined by the number of child cards added in the Object and Mapping tab.
For more information, see Object and Mapping - Transactions Editor.
The Related/Child Object Sections provide the following capabilities:
Field configuration: Specify which fields from the child object are displayed in the section.
Column layout: Control the number of columns used to display child records.
Visibility control: Define when a section is visible or hidden based on display rules.
Post-add behaviour: Determine actions that occur after a new child record is added.
Mobile support: Configure mobile-specific options, such as attachments, images, and online search.
Section ordering: Rearrange sections to match the desired sequence within the transaction layout.
Sorting and linking: Enable sorting of child records and link sections to other transactions as needed.
Multiple section support: Configure several child sections within the same parent transaction, based on child cards defined in the Object and Mapping tab.
