Copying an Enterprise Project to a Team Project
The Enterprise Edition offers thousands of supplemental User data fields for customizing FMEA and FRACAS tables that are unavailable in the Team Edition. These supplementary fields are of the following types: Attachments, Date, Memo, Text, and Yes/No. For more information, see Data Field Types.
When an Enterprise Project is open in the Project Properties window, you can copy it to a Team Project. However, because of the thousands of additional User fields in an Enterprise Project, you are unable to open this Team Project. For this Team Project to be functional once again, you must copy it into a new Enterprise Project. Two reasons you might copy an Enterprise Project to a Team Project follow.
You need to have PTC technical support or professional services staff troubleshoot or assist you with a Project. You can package Team Project files and email them. For more information, see Packaging Files for Email.
You have newly installed Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0 on a different machine and must move data from your existing installation to this new installation. In this case, prior to performing the following procedure, a system administrator should generate user and group reports from your existing system so that this data can be imported into the new system. For more information, see the help or guide for Windchill Risk and Reliability Administrator. You can download the latest version of this guide from the Reference Documents area on the PTC website.

The Copy to Team Project command is available only if an Enterprise Project is open in the Project Properties window.
1. If the Enterprise Project is not open in the Project Properties window, then open it. For more information, see Opening a Project in the Project Properties Window.
2. Select Project > Copy to Team Project. The Copy to Team Project Wizard starts and displays the Select Files page. All files in the open Enterprise Project are listed, and the checkboxes for all of these files are selected by default.
3. Select the files to copy. Information about this page and how to select the files to copy appears in Select Files Page
4. Click Next. The Project Name page appears. The default is the current Project name.
5. For Project name, enter the unique name to assign to the Team Project. By default, a folder with this name is created in the My Windchill Risk and Reliability Files folder for the current installation.
To create this Team Project elsewhere, select the I want to save this Project to a different folder checkbox. This makes the Folder field available. Either enter the path in this field or use its browse button to navigate to and select the appropriate folder. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
6. Click Next. If a Project with the specified name already exists, a window opens, indicating that this is the case. When you click OK, you are returned to the Project Name page so that you can enter another name. Once a unique name is specified, the Wizard Complete page appears.
7. Click Finish.
If the files to copy are large, a window opens, displaying progress. For a System file, the status bar might reset multiple times as copies of necessary support files are made. Clicking Stop in this window cancels the copy procedure.
Once all files are copied successfully, another window opens, indicating that the copy procedure is complete.
8. Click OK to create the Team Project.
