Working With Objects
Objects are the basic information-storage element in Max. The following predefined objects are included in Service Board:
Object
Description
Appointment
Scheduled technician or Crew visits to service locations.
Credential
Certificates, degrees, licenses, or formal training in specific skills, technologies, or products.
Credential Category
Categories of credentials, such as skills or product expertise.
Crew
Groupings of Resources that can be dispatched to Appointments together.
Crew Resource
Technicians or Equipment that are assigned to Crews.
Dispatcher Access
Grants rights for dispatchers to see the Service Team to which they are assigned.
Event
Non-service-related Appointments, such as team meetings.
Initial Sync Action
Settings, mappings, and other information that defines how initial Salesforce data sync is handled.
Installed Product
Products and parts that are installed at specific service locations.
Job
Work Orders that require technician or Crew visits.
Job Requirement
Credentials needed to complete specific Jobs.
Project
Project-management data loaded into Max for scheduling.
Qualification
Credentials, expertise, and skill levels used to calculate Resource recommendations.
Resource
Technicians or Equipment that can be assigned to Service Teams and Crews, and dispatched to Appointments.
Resource List
Defines the Resources that appear in default and custom Resource List views.
Resource Preference
Preferred Resources for specific Jobs, installed products, locations, and accounts.
Service Team
Groupings of technicians, Equipment, and Crews that can be dispatched to Appointments.
Territory
Defines a logical grouping of Resources based on geographic criteria, virtual criteria, or a combination of the two.
In cases where you need to store and work with information that is specific to your organization and not covered by any of these predefined objects, you can create custom objects on the Max platform.
