Creating Holiday Calendars
Max Platform applications include several predefined Holiday Calendars for major countries. You can modify these or create new Holiday Calendars to fit your organization’s schedule. Holidays defined within Holiday Calendars supersede Shifts within Shift Plans that fall on holidays.

Only Holiday Calendars defined at the system and user level supersede Shifts that fall on holidays. When Shift Plans are defined at the staff member level, holidays that coincide with Shifts in Shift Plans are ignored.
To create Holiday Calendars:
1. In Max Admin, click System Management () > Holiday Calendars, and then in the list view, in the top left corner, click Create ().
2. On the New Holiday Calendar form, in the Name field, enter a name for the Holiday Calendar, and then in the top left corner, click Save ().
3. On the Relations tab, in the Holidays list view, in the top left corner, click Create ().
4. In the Create New Holiday dialog box, in the Name field, enter a name for the holiday, and then in the Start Date and Number of Days Off fields, specify the date the holiday starts and the number of days it includes.
5. Repeat the previous step as needed to add the remaining holidays to the calendar.
