Shifts are recurring time periods during which Resources are scheduled to be available for dispatch. Each shift typically represents one work day and is composed of several segments that can include active time, team meetings, breaks, and so on.

Shift plans define patterns of shifts and free time for Resources or Crews. You can schedule shift plans to start on any day in a calendar month in a specific time zone. To ensure that holidays are not scheduled as working days, you can create holiday calendars that supersede planned shift dates.
