About Service Board Integration With ServiceMax Go
ServiceMax Go is a mobile app that provides technicians with the ability to view newly scheduled and updated Appointments from Service Board. Technicians can also use the app to send their current location information to Service Board.
ServiceMax Go is integrated with Service Board in several ways. When Resource or Crew Appointments are created or updated on Service Board, notifications are pushed to ServiceMax Go, and automatic responses are then sent back to the server. The server processes responses and displays Appointment details such as start and end times and Job status in the app.
Notifications are sent to the app only when fields configured for phone notifications are updated in Appointments. Updated Appointments are pushed to ServiceMax Go when duration or status is updated, or when Appointments are canceled or reassigned to a different Resource.
On the
Map tab, on the
Resources subtab, dispatchers can click
Update Location (
) on slide panels for selected
Resources to request current location data.
ServiceMax Go automatically sends geocode information to the server, which processes the response and updates
Last Location coordinates on slide panels.
| • Location updates are sent only when Go is running in the foreground or background on technicians' mobile devices, whether or not the device screen is locked. If the app is not running in the foreground or background on technicians' devices, location updates are not sent. • When device operating system updates put Go into a suspended state to conserve battery power, location pings cannot be successfully completed. Location pings are more reliable when devices are connected to power sources. |
