What's New
User Feedback
User feedback refers to the suggestions, comments, opinions, and overall input provided by product users. It offers valuable insights into the product's strengths, weaknesses, and areas of improvement.
User feedback is a new initiative in ServiceMax, to obtain feedback from the users of our Applications. Starting with ServiceMax Go, technicians can submit feedback, which will be reviewed by the product and engineering team to improve their product experience. In future releases, users of other areas of our users, for example, Dispatch, Back Office, etc will also be able to submit feedback.
As a technician, you can provide valuable input on your Go app experience to help the product team enhance the app. For more details, refer to the
Submit Feedback section.
Ability to Disable Checklist Section
A checklist consists of different sections containing questions in each section. These checklist sections are configured with entry and exit criteria. The entry criteria define the visibility of the sections when the form loads the first time. The exit criteria in a specific section define the visibility of the subsequent sections.
With the checklist sections disabled as per the configuration, it helps technicians to avoid answering questions that are not required. It increases the technicians' productivity and efficiency.
As an administrator, you can enable this feature for the technicians where the checklist sections are disabled per the configurations. For more information, refer to the
Configure Section Visibility section.
The sections that do not qualify for exit criteria are disabled so that the technician can only answer the questions on relevant sections. The sections are disabled as per the configured exit criteria. For more information, refer to the
Add Response With One Section Visible section.
Polymorphic Field Support
The polymorphic field has a relationship with more than one object. When configured in SFM layout and SFM mapping, this field allows you to choose an object from the list of supported source objects. Only WhatId and WhoId relationship types are supported. For example, Related To and Assigned To fields on the Event object.
As an administrator, you can configure page layouts and SFM mappings with polymorphic fields to lookup for data from other objects. For more information about configuring the polymorphic fields, refer to the
Polymorphic Fields section.
As a technician, you can create and update Event and Task objects related to a Work Order object by updating the RelatedToId and WhatId using SFM. For more information on using the polymorphic fields in SFM, refer to the
Event section.
