Service Board 25.2 Patch 2
Release Notes for Service Max Service Board 25.2 Patch 2
Release Date: March 8, 2026
New Features and Enhancements
Extend dependencies to support Task To Task
Service Board now supports Service Task to Service Task dependencies within Jobs in the Service Task Planning experience. This enhancement extends the existing job dependency framework to the Service Task level, enabling dispatchers to visualize, validate, and manage task sequencing directly in the Service Task Planning calendar. For more information, see Working With Service Task Dependencies.
Support to show Similar Jobs feature at the job level
Service Board enhances job discovery capabilities by supporting Show Similar Jobs, enabling dispatchers to quickly identify additional work opportunities job similarity criteria.
Show Similar Jobs allows dispatchers to identify jobs that share common characteristics, such as, address, installed product, and service team with a selected source job, helping group related work and optimize scheduling.
For more information, see Nearby and Similar Jobs.
Schedule control with Lead Time and Lag Time enhancements in Current-Day Optimization
Current Day Optimization (CDO) now supports enhanced Lead Time and Lag Time handling, providing administrators with precise control over how far into the past and future the optimizer can adjust schedules. These enhancements strengthen CDO by introducing configurable time boundaries to protect in-progress work, prevent unintended schedule disruptions, and allow controlled reshuffling of recent appointments.
Lag Time (in minutes) defines how far into the past CDO can reshuffle appointments.
Lead Time and Lag Time together define a controlled optimization time band such as Past boundary and Future boundary.
Current-Day Optimization Execution Frequency Control
Current Day Optimization (CDO) now provides greater flexibility in configuring system job execution frequency, along with the ability to override the default validation guard for urgent scheduling scenarios. This enhancement provides greater operational flexibility for time-sensitive dispatch environments while maintaining recommended safeguards for system stability.
Administrators can configure CDO system jobs to run at intervals based on operational needs. For more information, see Configuring a System Job for Current-Day Optimization.
Support Secondary Service Teams for Resource Recommendations
Resource Recommendation (RR) now supports inclusion of Secondary Service Teams (SSTs), enabling dispatchers to broaden the candidate pool when recommending resources for a Job. This enhancement enables organizations to balance operational flexibility and team governance, improving time-to-assign while maintaining structured team-based dispatch policies.
Administrators can link Secondary Service Teams directly to a primary Service Team in Max Designer. If no SSTs are linked, RR continues to operate using only the primary Service Team.

A validation error occurred when some appointments of the job could not be synchronized to Salesforce due to a deleted appointment. When users accessed the affected work order in Service Board, the system showed an error indicating that a deleted appointment record was not synchronized, even though the job was associated with a single active appointment and no corresponding HTTP notification failures were found.
