When you assign Resources to newly created Appointments, the Nearby Jobs feature helps you to easily identify Jobs at nearby locations that the same Resources are qualified to complete.

When you assign an Appointment to a Resource, a global search for Jobs that are near newly scheduled or rescheduled Job locations is triggered, and distances and scores are calculates. These Jobs appear in the Nearby Jobs List with distance and resource-match scores, and you can then manually assign additional Jobs to Resources to group and combine work and maximize Resource efficiency.

The Scheduler Resource List appears with the original Resource or Service Team listed at the top, and the original Resource marked with a gold star. The rest of the list is sorted alphabetically by Service Team, with Resources sorted alphabetically within teams.

You can also invoke the Nearby Jobs option from the Appointment context menu to trigger the same global search for Jobs located near existing Appointments.

You can use the Show Similar Jobs feature to identify Jobs that are similar to a selected Job. This feature helps you to easily find related work that can be combined and assigned to qualified Resources to improve scheduling efficiency and decrease travel time. When you select a Job Card and invoke Show Similar Jobs from the Job Action Menu, a global search for Jobs with matching Address, Installed Product, and Service Team values is triggered, and the results appear on the Similar Jobs List with distance information.. You can then manually assign work to qualified Resources located within reasonable distances.
