Time Tracking for Administrators
Using time tracking configuration, you can capture the time lapsed for any events in different combinations and formats. The following table lists some of the examples of the events in different combinations and formats:
Scenario
Examples
Create one time tracking configuration for each event
Time to Create Work order, where the source object is Work Order and Event is time lapsed between case record creation to work order record creation.
Create one time tracking configuration with multiple events
The source object is Work Order and the same StartTime, EndTime, and Time Difference fields are selected from the IB Time Card object to hold the execution results. Events can be as follows:
Time to Create Work order: measured between Case and Work order fields.
Time to acknowledge WO: measured between two Work order fields.
Labor time: measured between two Work Detail fields of the work order.
This combination allows to create reports for specific events or group results by event name.
Create one time tracking configuration with multiple events where you can see time-lapsed details for all events for specific IB in a single row
The source object is Work Order and different StartTime, EndTime, and Time Difference fields are selected from the IB Time Card object to hold the execution results.
Time to Create Work order: Measured between Case and Work order fields and stored in the Time Difference field of IB Time Card
Repair Time: Measured between two Work Order fields and stored in the downtime field in the IB Time Card object.
Using tabular reporting, you can compare time lapsed for different events for specific installed products and also compare with other installed products to identify any pattern or focus areas of improvement.
*
If the source object is other than Case, Work Order, and you want to store the time lapsed information in different fields other than the packaged fields, then first you need to add those fields in the IB Time Card object. Add Source object as lookup fields, and fields that hold time difference as number type fields and DateTime fields to hold the StartTime and EndTime information of the event.
