Configuring the Settings Tab
The Settings tab allows you to configure settings related to the time tracking configuration.
To configure settings related to time tracking:
1. Go to ServiceMax Setup > Installed Base, Preventive Maintenance and Field Change Orders > Time Tracking. The Time Tracking list view is displayed.
2. Click the Settings tab to open the Settings page.
3. Enter the details for the settings as described in the following table.
Fields
Description
Default time range (months)
Enter the default time range in months. The default value is 24. It indicates that the last 2 year's records will be considered for processing. You can set it up to 60 months.
Select time range for processing records
Select the time range for processing the time card records:
After Last Schedule Execution
Default time range mentioned above
Type of records to be considered in the time range
Select the type of records to be considered in the time range:
Both Created and Modified
Created only
Modified Only
Allow admin to configure criteria to qualify records for reprocessing
Select Yes to configure the criteria to qualify records for reprocessing.
If this field is set to Yes, the "Criteria for reprocessing records" field is enabled on the Time Tracking configuration page.
If this field is set to No, the "Criteria for reprocessing records" field is not displayed on the Time Tracking configuration page.
Action when re-processing the same records
Select the action that needs to be taken when an entry for the IB and Source record combination is already present in the IB Time Card object:
Update existing entries in table: updates the existing entries in the IB Time Card object for the installed product and Source record combination.
Ignore Records - Do not make any updates: Reprocessed record updates are ignored, and no changes are made to existing entries in IB Time Card.
4. Click Save to save the settings. Refer to the logic on how records are qualified and processed by the time tracking engine.
